What a great event I attended today. Upper Gage Garage in Hamilton,held a Best Burger Competition with proceeds going to the Cancer Assistance Program. Sadie one of the organizers, who’s father had cancer brought the community together despite the elements today. Their was such a great turn out,that by the time I arrived the trucks were already running out of food. But we managed to get a little bit.

This vegetarian spin off of a Philly cheese steak sandwich, was pleasantly surprising. This vegan Philly had great flavour,tangy gravy,and cheese melted to perfection. The vegetarians are growing on me.

Take the name and lose the bun. I’m Italian, so when you serve a meatball slider, I don’t want a lot of bun. I want to taste the product, although the meatball was moist and flavourful. I enjoyed this small tidbit of the Meatball Shoppe.
P.S. Congratulations to The Dirty South on having the best Burger! Nice Job Boys!
All in all, this event was done for a great cause,and well worth the trip to show support.
