Welcome to DA KIDS CULINARY CLUB here we will teach kids that the kitchen is an awesome place to create and try new things.

We COOK, BAKE, TASTE and have plenty of creativity flowing through our kitchen. We sometimes have special visitors show up, we sometimes throw in a craft here and there. Never the less. Ages range from 5 years old to 10 years old.

Easter is Eggcellent! Event

DA KIDS CULINARY CLUB CHUNKY MONKEY BANANA ZUCCHINI MUFFINS

INGREDIENTS
 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, peeled (about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups mashed)
 1/3 cup room temp butter
 1 teaspoon baking soda
 Pinch of salt
 3/4 cup sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if sweeter)
 1 large egg, beaten
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
 1 cup of shredded zucchini
 1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
 1 cup of shredded semi sweet coconut
 You can add orange zest if you desire

METHOD
1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), and butter or spray with cooking spray muffin tins
2 In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until completely smooth. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
3 Mix in the baking soda and salt. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix in the flour.
4 Pour the batter into your muffin pans. Bake for 25/30 minutes until bounce to touch  at 350°F (175°C), or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
5 Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes. Then remove the banana muffins from the muffin pan and let cool completely before serving. DA-LISH! and if leftovers store in a Ziploc freezer bag to take home and enjoy later or freeze.
