What brings a community together? Great people, energetic attitudes, and a positive way about life. The North Burlington Baptist Church in Burlington Ont. has many of these qualities and much more. This unique Baptist Church welcomes everyone to its Free Community Fair that is held every year rain or shine. It has been bringing the community together for about sixteen years strong. Live Bands, Bouncy Slides, Games, Live Reptiles, Arts & Crafts, Free Food and so much more.
Many of the local business support this event, & so many volunteers of this parish come out to show the community they care, and also that the door is always open. The North Burlington Baptist Church has such a diverse array of people who bring this Church together, and that is what I love about this Church. It’s diversity of so many cultures in one room coming together as one, not only as a parish but at a community event such as this. You see so many young and old giving up their own time to be a part of a community family. I have attended this church a few times, and have been amazed at how they interact and how everybody knows everyone.
It’s something you rarely see these days, no rushing, no quick hello and goodbyes, just real people living life and understanding what the word community really means. I often visit events like this and just sit & listen. It’s just a really nice feeling to see that there is good in people, there is a sense of love, and there is a very welcoming community around with a helping hand when you need it. Just like a tree with branches, we are all leaves of different colors & cultures but when you really look at things we are all the same. A Community Family, with a strong sense of bringing togetherness.
