Atmosphere, Ambiance, and Cuisine to please everyone’s palate. Sarcoa down by the Hamilton Ontario Harbour was an experience to remember. Upon walking into this upscale resturant. You can’t help but be entranced by the beautiful panoramic view of the water, the high ceilings, and the breezy modern look, their are warm vibrant colours and a downtown vibe. The servers are all neat, very polite, accommodating and know the menu very well, right down to the specials, and are ready with any questions you may have about how your meal is prepared. If you want a great wine with your meal, your server will know just the right pairing. That is great product knowledge. We started with a Smoked Brisket Poutine, homemade fries, cheese curds, smoked brisket, infused in a rich Anjou sauce. As a Canadian I was singing “O Canada” to this dish. My Caesar was crisp, & creamy but the homemade smoked bacon it was served with, is was what made me happy. Coming from a meat background I was impressed. Our Berbere Chicken Wrap was substituted with grilled flank steak,  pickled mango,romesco, & greens. I glanced over to ask for another bite and it was gone while my colleague was licking her fingers. We also ordered the pan-seared Arctic Char a crispy skinned piece of Arctic char, moist inside with plenty of taste, served with couscous apricot watercress and Moroccan yogurt. I ordered Scallops and Shrimp my scallops were seared perfectly, crispy outside, and delectable inside, my dish was paired with beets, rhubarb chutney, and peas, but let me tell you about these peas that snapped in my mouth with each bite. I’m still entranced by them. They had such a fresh taste, that I had to ask how they were prepared. I was told but my minty lips are sealed. I loved my meal I only wish it was larger. It was delicious. Dessert was well how can I put this…. Stunning! an array of homemade steam cake, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and ice cream of vanilla bourbon, chocolate, coconut & pistachio all homemade in house. Our dessert was decadent from presentation right down to our last bite. When a restaurant makes their own pizza dough, croutons, mayo, pasta, bread, and smokes their own meat, that tells me those guys in the kitchen love their job and that’s what it’s all about. Chef Wes Lesco and Sous Chef Daniel Mamodeiro are two chefs that take the time to understand what dining is all about. It’s that wow factor, you get when your meal comes to the table. It’s that first bite when you say ” WOW this is soooooo good” It’s what Chefs live for. Its why they got into the culinary business. It’s there Cocaine to please there clients palate. These two chefs and there creative minds have taken dining to a whole new level. Hamilton Ont. should be lucky to have such a great Restaurant like Sarcoa in there hometown. I love Sarcoa! Chefs get ready I can’t wait to come back and see whats on the menu.
