Rumak

by 10 September 2013 Resturants Like

I had lunch at this place called Rumak,it’s nothing to look at, you walk in and it’s pretty old school. You can tell this restaurant has been around awhile, the bar is worn and tattered, their is still decor from St.Patricks Day….it’s a bar to most people. To me it was a Polish Paradise. I am half Polish and love my pierogies & potato pancakes which is what I ordered from Rumak. These potato pillows with whipped potatoes and cheddar, were so good I could have eaten a ton of them. The Potato pancakes came and all I wanted was a jar of jam, they were Delish. All homemade from scratch each dish made with much polish love. My all time weakness is Red Borsch, it brought me right back to my Polish Na Na. Come on! That’s bang on! For someone to say that, the food must be great. Mike ordered Tripe Soup (Flaczki) for those of you who do not know what tripe is,it’s cows stomach.
Sounds freaky, and gross, but it was delicious. If you are looking for authentic Polish flavour, you must head to this little Polish hide away.

P.S As I left I glanced at the kitchen…..Spotless! Nice Job Ladies Thank you
