The first annual Bianca Forest Drive Street Hockey Santa Classic, in support of the local food bank, was held on December 15. Organizers, Melinda Paletta and Mike Bruno reached out to their families, friends and neighbours for support, and over 50 people came out to take part in some good old-fashioned street hockey fun. The familiar shout “car” rang out repeatedly. There was friendly competition, great food, lots of fun and generous donations to a worthy cause. It doesn’t get much better than that!
