When I hear the word Local, I will now always think of Willow Tree Farm & Market in Port Perry Ont. This neat little market place brings local to a whole new level. Willow Tree Farm & Market brings in only local farmers product. Strawberries, green beans, cherries, fresh pressed apple juice, freshly baked tarts & pies, locally raised beef and pork & the list goes on. Willow Tree has a little petting zoo with pigs, goats, rabbits and more. They also have a little take out hut, with fresh cut fries grown on the farm, salads, and possibly one one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. This burger was so good it did not need any condiments. This burger was so juicy, flavourful, & cooked just the way I like it medium well and it was LOCAL! maybe that’s why it was so good. You enter the market on this farm, and it’s amazing. Willow Tree Farm & Market was full of local colours which consisted of seasonal fruits & vegetables. They also have plenty of samples for you as well, trying the product it just as important & so much fun. The staff is very helpful. Little C loved to see how honey was being made with the bees on site for everyone to see. I love a place that shows so much pride in everything they do. It’s no secret, the residents of Port Perry flock to this place, it’s busy. The word LOCAL is an education on what great product should taste like.
