Is giving Hamiltonians a taste of the “Pure Life”. Sauro Bertolozzi owner of this Italian eatery & Tuscany native. Has grown up only knowing how to prepare meals with the freshest ingredients, a skill that was instilled in him at a very young age from his grandmother. Puravida has a very urban vibe to it, with Mason jar lights, menu boards made from leftover pallets, and the aroma of espresso coffee radiates through the air. Sauro Bertolozzi has an infectious way about him, as he waves to patrons welcoming everyone into his Italian labour of love. Puravida offers delectable Mediterranean sandwiches. My Caprese sandwich, made with fresh basil, ripe tomatoes, aged European cheese, brushed with imported olive oil, served on fresh bread & drizzled with imported aged balsamic vinegar glaze was bursting with European flavours. Lasagna’s, Cannelloni, Eggplant Parmigiana, Imported Cheese’s & Deli Meats, Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegars, Biscotti, Gelato, and homemade Italian Cakes are some other Italian classics that are being served. I love the sound of the meat slicer, gently slicing thin prosciutto. The smell of cured meats it’s my own Trinity, my own three “P’s” theory. Proscuitto, Provolone, Panini and add me that’s four tasty words. Here’s what’s different and unique. Puravida also does on-site tastings, and bottling of E.V.O.O (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) as well as Balsamic Vinegars, offering educational evenings on the perfect olive oil & balsamic vinegar. Puravida prides itself on teaching old traditions and tastes to a new generation. A teaching of old ways, way back when… before they became Artisan. Sauro Bertolozzi also offers European Tours.
