With Easter & Spring fast approaching, what a perfect day it was to visit Puddicombe Farms in Winona Ont. Established in 1797 started as a cattle farm. “I can so relate” Turned into a working fruit farm, this 213 year old property, filled with 300 acres of fruit trees consisting of cherries, peaches, and so much more. I picked up my kid crew and headed for the Easter Eggstravaganza Hunt on the farm, and we couldn’t wait to get going. We started off with a craft, and was politely visited by a staff member to try some wine. ( for the adults only of course ) Did I mention they make their own label of wine. The kids were offered apple cider, cookies, and brownies. This farm also has a Cafe, Bake Shoppe & General Store where they make fruit filled pies, jams, jellies, and other delectable delights. The staff was eggcellent (get it) polite, calm, and ready to help with any questions or concerns anyone may have had. Darcy the chick lead the way to our train ride, and on the way we saw cows, pigs, rabbits, goats, donkeys, and if you look really close at some of my photos you can see turtles. What a spectacular view of the Niagara Escarpment. Once the train ride ended we were ready for our Egg Hunt, while kids quickly scooped up their eggs the Easter Bunny came out to help, and took some photos. Every child that attended received a special Easter gift. Puddicombe Farms has been around a long time, and it shows they know how things are done. My kid crew and I had a speggtacular time.
