Mosers

by 4 November 2013 Resturants Like

They say when opening a restaurant, Always remember Location, Location, Location! Well while driving along Guelph line in Burlington Ont. I came across Mosers. This out of the place Bar & Grill. Once a home, then turned into a truck stop in the early 1950’s and now, one of Burlington’s greatest little eatery’s. What I like about this place, is its very open, and bright, with large windows and a great view of the Autumn colours. I walked around and noticed a large patio outback, which in the summer the garage door opens and it operates as a full bar, ( Love It! ). With the Mount Nemo trails right around the corner, this place is great to go to right after a long hike, to grab a bite to eat or a cold beer. I checked out the menu and noticed deep fried pickles, I knew right there it was fate! I have never tried deep fried pickles, but have been waiting for the right place to try them. Mosers did it, deep fried in a special seasoned batter, served with Bear Dipping Sauce it was worth the wait. It was like having Peter Piper in the kitchen. This tangy, spicy, and delectable little appetizer left me wanting more. Thank you Mosers. Little C ordered his favourite, Grilled Cheese, which came with fries, and for dessert ice cream with chocolate sauce. Little C was not disappointed. ( I love it when restaurants take care of kids ). We also tried the chicken drumsticks four crispy BBQ drumsticks, with your choice of having them prepared mild, hot, or very hot. In the words of my colleague who ordered this dish and I quote ” They were F—ing great!” I know I know! The swearing, but they had to be awesome for him to say so. Great bang for your buck! The only fowl thing I must say is, the onion rings served were from a frozen state “Not very Good”. I would have much preferred a home made batter. Mosers is a great place for some great food, cold beer, hanging out with the guys or gals to watch a game, or just get together with everyone to hear a live band. The next time your along Guelph Line stop in to Mosers ask for Matt, he’ll take good care of you.
