Dreamers Cafe

I was hanging out in Port Hope Ont. A few weekends ago. It’s a small, historic town. Port Hope is the kind of town I could get up on a Sunday morning and just stroll threw the boutiques. I needed a latte something fierce, so I headed into Dreamers Cafe. It’s a European inspired feel, as I looked around. Dreamers Cafe is well known in Port Hope for it’s cakes, specialty coffees, sandwiches, and ice cream, but really it’s known for its CRAZY COOKIE. This crazy cookie makes my sweet tooth wild, soft & chewy, with a nutty kick, followed by gooey caramel, and drizzled with chocolate. It’s a dreamy little peace of sweet heaven. This Crazy Cookie is so good it has even been trademarked. I wanted to take some home, but it was a very hot day. When I asked if they could ship some out to me, they said no problem. Once I got home, I called Dreamers Cafe to see if they would ship the Crazy Cookie to me, that I had been bragging about. I was having a dinner party a wanted a few dozen. Well after calling several times.(six times to be exact) I was told the owner was at trade shows, and the owner was not in. I gotta tell you Dreamers Cafe, from not only a customer’s point of view, but also from a business point of view. It’s bad business to not even call a potential customer back. If you think about it, you only get one chance to make a first impression. The Crazy Cookie was a great cookie, but your service needs to be looked at, perhaps the Dreamers Cafe just wants to stay crazy in Port Hope…. Too bad! there are a lot of others that may have wanted to be Crazy with you. I did have my dinner party, but moved on to another bakery that wanted to share their secret sweetness with me.

A Cookie is only good until it Crumbles!

You should always want to please your clients. Your clients are what makes your business successful. There is always someone out there willing to go that extra mile, when someone else won’t. To bad for you Dreamers Cafe!
