International Crepe Day, La Chandeleur in France, Candelaria in Spain. However you want to say it, it’s a wonderful day filled with sweet, savoury, and fruity crepes. I went to the obvious place for the most delectable crepe day. CrepeAlicious located in Waterdown Ont. I was in heaven today as I ordered a prosciutto spinach crepe, succulent prosciutto put together with tender baby spinach, and cheddar cheese. Then the Sunshine crepe, filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and green peppers, OMG! it was so good. My sweet tooth thought I forgot about him, but as you all know that would never happen. I then ordered a Funky Monkey….that’s right Nutella, Nutella, and more Nutella with slices of banana. The Cinnamon Apple Crepe was the Bomb! caramelized apple crumble, with vanilla cream cheese, it was my favourite, like an Apple pie exploded in my mouth. I told you I was in Heaven! But wait it’s gets better CrepeAlicious does not only serve crepes they have a full menu of homemade soups. The dill pickle soup, a hearty flavourful soup you must try, you will not be disappointed. Salads, paninis, homemade pierogies, and another favourite of mine potato pancakes. They will accommodate you as well, if you prefer gluten free, or perhaps to have your order done with coconut oil, CrepeAlicious will do it for you. Also there is a discount for seniors. This hidden eatery is one place you must come and check out. It’s my Disneyland for Crepes!

Happy International Crepe Day!
