The North Burlington Baptist Church puts on a community fair every year. For the religious people out there, God works in mysterious ways. I met Merv the Senior Minister for the NBBC a few months ago and let me tell you,brought up a respectable Catholic girl, I was expecting a hard core minister. Merv is a down to earth,and warm hearted guy, he is so well respected by his congregation it’s just a really nice sight to see. Although the weather was not co-operative for the outdoor activies, (Rain,Rain,and more Rain) this church kicked it into high gear by moving everything inside the Parish. Greeted by a volunteer with an umbrella,she walked me over to the welcome table. This fair was rocking with Music,Great Food,Skateboarders,Craft Tables for kids,Magic,Reptiles,Birds of Prey and so much more. Rain did not stop anyone from coming to this community fair. Wonderful energy,the smell of BBQ,and sinking my teeth into the delicious samosas. This is what church is all about, When I speak about God working in mysterious ways, I look at it like this. God brings people together. I have met a great a great Minister, who loves what he does, I also spent the afternoon,with people from my community, and had a great time meeting new people.
