This morning I walked down Brant St. and had a couple say Good Morning to me, that’s rare. Then I smelled bacon being cooked, and said to myself this day just keeps getting better and better, where did the bacon lead me. Brant St. Butcher in Burlington Ont. a fully loaded butcher shop which deals with local vendors. The Brant St. Butcher has its meat showcase filled with Strip loins, Pork Loins, Rack of Lamb and so much more. I really have to tell you I was in meat heaven, condiments to accompany any cut of meat you prefer. Breads, vegetables, and cheeses also share the spotlight. Brant St. Butcher is concentrating on bringing in local product so much, that they actually have featured vendors there on the weekend, to educate you on products it’s great. I usually go into a place with many different questions to ask the owner, but the owner of this meaty little gem, was right on point with giving me information on her journey to create the Brant St. Butcher. I love business owners that know their products and Owner Ellen McWhinnie was right on point. Another thing I loved about this place was the owner is a women and a butcher, (take it easy everyone I’m not going all women rule on Ya) you just don’t see to many of us around so it was awesome just to listen to each other talk shop. The Brant St. Butcher has very warm yet retro feel to it. The prices on products are not overwhelming, and the staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help with anything. Summer is coming everyone so get your BBQ’s up to par and head into the Brant St. Butcher and get your grill on.

I would like to give a special Thank you to Willowgrove Hill, the Pork Producer vendor  that was there that day, that had me float in with the scent of Bacon frying. Your product is  Da-Lishious, Flavorful, and Healthy. Your story is truly inspiring.
